"I can Deduct mileage driven to work as an employee of my office at home and what I do for my taxes self-employed?
I drive to work as an independent contractor in two places and as an employee in the third location is 40 miles from my home office. I do the same work in three locations.
See chart on page 14 of IRS Pub 463. It gives you an idea of what can be inferred, but not match your situation as two of the locations of his works are as self-employed. I guess your home office is not for the convenience of your employer, you have two places that you do the work and Use of this office. In this case, travel to and from home to their place of work is not deductible. All shipments other is deductible on Schedule C.
